Mats Hummels to decide on future with Borussia Dortmund after Champions League final against Real Madrid

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has revealed. The club will make a decision on Mats Hummels’ future after Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid, Sky Germany reported on Friday.

‘We will make a decision together after the Champions League final. If Mats doesn’t change his mind. We will extend the plan,’ Terzic said on Hummels’ future. 

Hummels has in fine form this season, making 38 appearances in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund. With the 35-year-old picking up man of the match awards in both of his appearances against Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals. But it was not enough to earn a call-up to Germany’s Euro 2024 squad.

‘I noticed that the decision affected him. But he assured me that. We will do everything we can to achieve our big goal (to win the Champions League). He definitely deserves to be at the European Championship.’ Terzic said of the decision.
